says owner-auctioneer
Vikki Vines.
Sunday afternoon auctions
have recently taken center stage
for the business. “For our Sunday
afternoon auction, we often use
the slogan ‘Expect Greatness.’
That’s because here you’ll find
the best of Western flair, stained
glass, antique and new designs
and vintage Christmas. You will
see fine upholstery, handmade
rugs and chandeliers. Plus surprises
— boxes and boxes of
unexpected treasures. And
always at wholesale prices,”
says Vines.
Details for these auctions, held
every four to six weeks, can be
found on the company Web site
or you can request to be notified
by mailing list (either e-mail or
regular mail).
Besides being a trade source
for dealers, designers and collectors,
Gallery Auctions is also a
place to sell. “If you have an
estate, are downsizing a home
or just want to change out your
living arrangements, we accept
quality consignment. We can
turn your possessions into cash,”
explains Vines. “All you need to
do is call us or send the most
casual photos to our
e-mail. We will let you know if it
is appropriate for our auctions
and if we are a suitable place to
meet your expectations.”
Something else Vines offers is
her auctioneering services. She is
known throughout the region for
conducting fund-raisers for charities,
schools, hospitals and sports
organizations. “I am available,”
says Vines. “I enjoy working with
these organizations across the
board. I like to set a goal and
be challenged.”
